Pay: $17 - $20 per hour
Schedule: Approximately 10–15 hours per week, weekends are a must

About Rosebound
Rosebound Bookshop is an independent bookstore specializing
in romance and fantasy romance. We are a small, community-focused shop
dedicated to celebrating love stories, discovering new authors, and connecting
readers with books they will love.
As we head into our first holiday season, we are looking for
a seasonal bookseller to join our small team!
About the Role:
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic
bookseller who loves romance and fantasy romance and enjoys sharing that
passion with others.
Our ideal candidate is an active reader who's familiar with
the genres, enjoys discovering new authors and releases, and feels comfortable
helping customers find their next favorite book.
As a small independent bookstore, everyone plays a part in
keeping things running smoothly. We are looking for someone who takes
initiative, pays attention to the details, and is happy to jump in wherever
needed.
What You'll Do:
- Welcome customers and create a friendly, inviting
shopping experience. - Provide thoughtful, personalized book recommendations
based on readers' interests, favorite authors, and romance book tropes. - Stay familiar with popular romance and fantasy
romance titles, authors, series, and new releases. - Assist customers with purchases using Shopify POS.
- Receive, unpack, price, and shelve books and
merchandise. - Restock shelves, maintain displays, and keep the
store clean and organized. - Help with holiday merchandising, gift wrapping, and
seasonal displays. - Assist with bookstore events, author signings, and
special shopping days. - Take initiative with daily tasks and help wherever
needed, including during quieter periods.
What We Are Looking For:
- A genuine interest in and strong knowledge of
romance and fantasy romance books is required. - An active reader who enjoys discussing books,
authors, tropes, and recommendations. - Familiarity with popular romance and romantasy
authors, series, and current releases. - A warm, approachable personality with strong
communication and customer service skills. - Someone who's dependable, organized, detail-oriented,
and self-motivated. - The ability to work independently, multitask, and
take initiative without constant direction. - A willingness to learn new systems, stay informed
about inventory, and contribute to a small team. - Receive, unpack, and organize book shipments,
including lifting and moving boxes weighing up to 30 lbs, with or without
reasonable accommodation. - Previous retail or customer service experience is
preferred but not required.
Schedule & Availability
This is a part-time seasonal position, approximately 10–15
hours per week, for late October through December 2026.
Weekend availability and flexibility during the holiday
shopping season are important, particularly Thanksgiving weekend, Small
Business Saturday, and the weeks leading up to Christmas.
While this position is initially seasonal, there may be
an opportunity to transition into a permanent part-time role based on
performance, availability, and business needs.
